Al fresco dining Ripples Sydney Wharf

Why waste a day eating indoors when eat al fresco on the wharf overlooking the Harbour Bridge, watch boats pass by and check out exy apartments. On a glorious sunny day half of my family and I went out for lunch at  Ripples Sydney Wharf (56 Pirrama Road Pyrmont) while the other half of my family did their own thang… they missed out big time. Usually I prefer to be seated inside and eat stress-free avoiding the wind, rain, heat and passerby’s but Ripples is in the most beautiful space. (They also have awnings and shelter to keep you dry and warm when needed ๐Ÿ™‚ )

I think this is my new favourite restaurant to eat outdoors for lunch, I’ve ALWAYS found the service perfect – they’re professional, lovely, spot-on and very attentive. What’s even better is their portions – they’re very generous with their servings which makes it even more affordable ๐Ÿ™‚ You’ll see what I mean about portions below – my growing adolescent brother could not finish his Fish & Chips main and my entree would have been enough to fill me up if it wasn’t so tasty.

Ripples Sydney Wharf (56 Pirrama Road Pyrmont)

Onion & Cider Soup with Gruyere Toasts

Yamba Prawn Tart with Creamed Leek, Feta Cheese and Tomato Salsa
♥ so crispy and creamy with huge prawns omg LOVE

Seared Scallops with Pumpkin Tortellini, Boudin Noir & Goats Cheese Sauce
I love my carbs… this was my entree and I had the spaghettini for my main but they were both so good.
The scallops were JUMBO size and OH MY GAWWD the Pumpkin Tortellini was perfection to die for. I wanted more!!

Ripples Famous Fish Chips, Homemade Tartare Sauce, Lemon

Vongole and Crab Spaghettini
VERY NICE right amount of everything and I loved how it wasn’t so saucy – too bad they don’t currently have this on their menu

Char grilled Beef Tenderloins with Oxtail Ragout

Will definitely be back here to unwind and enjoy really really great food.
