Outback Steakhouse and Sugarhit at Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel

Apparently the previous post was un-Ayana, but I’ve gotten over it, its out of my system and its back to the Ayana who posts “lots of pictures and food”.

Thursday To celebrate the completion of my bitch of an assignment [2500word review on the current anatomical and physiological mechanisms underlying direction selectivity in the retina] what a mouthful. AND to celebrate our anniversary of this crazy love bipolar we have <33 we decided to overeat at Outback Steakhouse.  We ordered too much but did exceptionally well at trying to finish our dishes, we probably shouldnt have had two loaves of their complimentary bread but it was soo good … seriously the best complimentary bread I’ve had, it had a cripsy sorta shell tasted like honey&oat but made with rye maybe? Anyway it was good. We ordered their signature dish the Blooming Onion (yeh they’re signature dish is an onion BUT it opens up like a flower and is pretty cool) and Bushies (deep fried button mushrooms) as entrees. I love mushrooms so the Bushies were soo good and I ate so much of them, probably more than my main. For mains he had The Nullabor  – a 550g Tbone steak and it was massive… and I had a Prawn Griller. It was worth the crazy trip where we argued so much because he couldn’t read a map and though North Strathfield was past Rhodes and through Gosford. He also had a crush on our waitress who was very attentive and so so courteous. Then we came home and watched Heroes and played Wii MarioKart XP

Friday Part2. was dessert at Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel in the form of a Sugar Hit. They ran out of the Brown Brothers dessert wine and instead had this subtley sweet wine that I didnt catch the name of and a Hennessy XO Cognac. Dessert was chef’s selction ot Mango RIce Pudding which seemed to be everyones favourite, Passionfruit Creme Brulee, Strawberry and Cream Sponge and Trio of Chocolate. I’m not a fan of rice pudding but this one was good though filling, loved the passionfruit in the creme brulee but I really liked the cream sponge very simple and not too sweet. Omg the chocolate was dense I only ate the  dark chocolate layer and parts of the milk chocolate.

Before did some shopping with Angie but didn’t buy anything and dinner at Poporo as Sushi Train was packed.
